I'm not happy with the shock, or the forks for that...

Ahh, very good. The IT's had very mild exhaust port tuning. If you want a bit more top end, (and you have a stock cylinder), you can raise the exhaust port 2 to 3mm and widen it 5mm (at the top only...

We regularly get 70RWHP from CR500 engines. Say 75 crank HP to on the "safe" side. And Calvin was getting over 100HP from 500cc sabertooth cylinders. I think there is massive room for big time HP...

My arm and shoulder still hurts from crashing those overweight enduro 4 strokes. I do fine on the lightweight stuff, but I simply cannot handle the weight.

Just my opinion from years of playing around with 2 strokes:

Every setup is slightly different. Unless you follow a specific formula and specs, your setup will differ from mine.

Therefore, your...

Well, I've got to chime in (as the resident 2 stroke lover). I owned a Husky 360WXC. That was quite a good engine when modified. Wide torque curve, plenty of HP, reliable and light. However, the bike...

Hard to answer your question. If you are riding it on the street, it's probably just fine.

If you are going to learn dirt riding on it, it's way too big and heavy.

My personal preference is for...

All other issues aside, more oil makes more power and reduces wear.

There have been a number of very well instrumented scientific tests on this subject. I was involved in one for Mercury Marine. We...

It is my opinion that 450's are down on power as compared to open class 2 strokes. The best 450's make about 50HP at the wheel. Compare that to a 65HP CR500 2 stroke and you may feel the same way I...
