Try putting air in it. If it holds air pressure and no oil comes out, the bladder is probably fine. Air is not the proper thing to service with, but it's a great troubleshooting tool.
Ahh, very good. The IT's had very mild exhaust port tuning. If you want a bit more top end, (and you have a stock cylinder), you can raise the exhaust port 2 to 3mm and widen it 5mm (at the top only...
We regularly get 70RWHP from CR500 engines. Say 75 crank HP to on the "safe" side. And Calvin was getting over 100HP from 500cc sabertooth cylinders. I think there is massive room for big time HP...
My arm and shoulder still hurts from crashing those overweight enduro 4 strokes. I do fine on the lightweight stuff, but I simply cannot handle the weight.
Well, I've got to chime in (as the resident 2 stroke lover). I owned a Husky 360WXC. That was quite a good engine when modified. Wide torque curve, plenty of HP, reliable and light. However, the bike...
My buddy was riding Ocala National Forest at about 80MPH on his KTM 525EXC when he crashed. We found him lying face down about 70 feet from the trail. The only reason we found him was the track in...
In the piston engine aircraft industry, all sorts of things have been tried to restore worn cylinders. Many years ago, starting in WWII, chrome plated bores were common on overhauled cylinders. They...
I agree with the above. That 650 engine will run perfectly, and do it forever, without coolant, oil or sparkplug. They are good and reliable. The synthetic diesel oil is a great choice.
Having owned a few Husky's, I would purchase another without reservation. Halls has always been good with parts, and reliability has always been excellent.
The only way to determine piston to wall clearance is to measure it at the proper location on the piston skirt. No other method is worthwhile or tells you anything.
If you look in the motorcycle sprocket catalogs, you will find that the sprockets also fit other bikes. I cannot remember which, sorry. I believe all 250 and 360 Husky's use the same pattern, just...
It is my opinion that 450's are down on power as compared to open class 2 strokes. The best 450's make about 50HP at the wheel. Compare that to a 65HP CR500 2 stroke and you may feel the same way I...
