transmission oil

Some of my motorcrossing friends are using ATF in an 80 weight rather regular oil. Claim they are getting better clutch life and longer riding times between changes. What do you think?

I use dexron III (napa brand). I like the feel of it better than type f. Type f made my shifting very notchy (as did belray gear saver). Dexron III gives me smooth shifts and no problem with hook up.

Now if I can only settle in on a premix oil??

I have an 89 KDX200 SR and have found that I get a fair amount of oil spraying from the vent tube over the rear tyre if I use a full litre.
