Old honda three wheeler
i have about a 86 honda 70 cc three wheeler and need help. when i put in a new plug it runs ok for a while then starts popping back through the carb and fouls the plug. I replace the plug and it runs great whats wrong. im been pulling my hair out over this because my 11 year old sister wont leave me alone about it.

You realize that everyone here thinks that a three wheeler is probably about the most dangerous thing you could choose to ride.
Anyway, it sounds like your carb is adjusted too rich. See if there is a mixture screw on it and where it is set at. The screw on a 4-stroke (which is what I believe you have), controls the fuel so tightening it should make the mix leaner. You might also have a very dirty air filter.

Try checking the float level, and make sure the choke isnt staying on...hope this helps.
And by the way, I have owned several 3 wheelers, and am looking to buy another one, they are not the safest machines around, but they arent the death traps some people think...experience is everything. Proper supervision and training are key!!

You will need to change the needle and needle jet. These are wear items on these little engines, and when they start to wear, you get a rich mixture and will foul plugs.
The needle is the long needle that fits in the slide. The jet is removed by removing the main jet holder, and tapping the jet out from the top.
Get the parts OEM Honda, the crap you get in a carburetor kit is not worth putting in the bike.
A tight intake valve will cause foulage, but if you have any clearance at all, no problem.

Too bad about our Japanese friends, I bet that will be the last ya-MA-ha that they ever send over here!
