I purchased a rm 125 from a friend that had it for awhile. I want to find out the year it is so I can start modding. Any help would be greatly appreciated

When you see me riding with my eyes closed, its because I have lost control of my bike and I'm about to crash.

Your list is really close except, 1980 was the T model and didn't use a letter in the VIN. After that, they did. 1981 was the X model which had the B in the VIN. Plus, it should be the 9th digit or letter just before the numbers. Either way, he needs to post his VIN off of the frame to get the correct year and possibly model.

It is the 10th digit in the VIN that identifies the year. http://www.suzukicycles.org/_misc/identification.shtml

You are right Sir, I stand corrected. My serial number list just shows an underline in the 9th and 11th spot and only says these numbers are determined at the time of manufacture.
