2006 TTR 125 Pilot Air Acrew Adjustment

I was cleaning the carb on this bike and took out the pilot air screw before I read the manual. The manual says the to count the number of turns from a seated position and reinstall the same way for the factory setting. Yea, I didn't do that. As an example the book says 2.5-3.5 turns. I'm not sure about this. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. This is the first time I have worked on a carb.

Start at 2.5 turns out.

Make sure to use some waterproof grease on the choke plunger o-ring.

Here's a link to a good jetting thread........http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/sh...315#post1340315

I bought my wife an '02 this spring.

Definatley buy a jet kit on EBAY, open up the airbox and gear it up 1 tooth in the front.

Totally different bike!

As for the airscrew, I am at 2 1/4 out.
