Anybody see "Street Magic"
That guy is good! If I could figure-out any of his stuff, it would be the dissapearing coin thing... very cool
I'm not one for magic shows, but this guy, with no props, no nothing is awesome.

I was amazed with the levitation the most, but card/coin tricks were still cool to watch.
I like how he does his magic in an uncontrolled setting. That kinda gives it more of a "real" feeling.

the levitation is easy to figure out if you watch him do it at the begining of the show. The angle he has people watch from is the key.

Have you seen the reaction of women to this guy's antics? . If anyone had told me as a child that doing illusions was the key to mucho companionship, I'd have paid more attention to my card trick instructional books.

Yep seen it. Not only the times on the learning channel but it was on Fox almost a year ago. They also had an episode where somebody explained how he did them. That trick where he guesses the what number your thinking anyone can do.
Try it.
Think of a number between 10 and fifty.
It has to be odd.
Both numbers in it have to be odd.
They can't be the same.
I think thats how it goes

The answer is 37.
For some reason this is the number that most people come up with. If it turns out to be a different number he simply walks away and it is edited out.

I love it when he is in the Dallas Cowboys dressing room and does a card trick and all the players are so amazed they just jump up and run away. Its hilarious!

Okie I don't think the levatating thing is a eye trick, he said to these people tell me wherever to walk, pick ANYWHERE and I will levitate, and he did
I still want to know how it's done
And what about when he bit the quater in half?
Too weird

I saw a special on how they make some of the illusions; including the levitation. He just lifts his heels off the ground to get a reaction out of people. Its all in the angle people are looking at his feet. Then the crew goes back to the same spot (usually in an alley) later the same day, and uses an engine lifing device, and a harness to actually levitate him off the ground completly. The rest of the crew dresses in the same clothes as the on lookers earlier in the day and the camera films the backs and sides of the people (crew) without showing their heads and they edit it in with the reaction they get with the on lookers. So the finnished product shows David Blain's torso levitating (just raising his feet) and the reaction by on lookers followed by a shot of David's feet completly off the ground and the backs of onlookers (actually the crew dressed in the same clothes). It sounds like it takes a long time to do, and it does. Thats why they only show his feet completly off the ground in a couple ofattempts at the illusion. As for the coin bitten in half, Im still guessing. :D
