Support DRN, Feel Good
DRN has grown dramatically over the last 5 years and there is no end in sight. As such, our costs to maintain the site have gone through the roof. In an effort to keep the site self supportive and maintain continued growth, we have developed upgrade programs: DRN Subscriptions & DRN SupportTeam Memberships.
What is it?
It's for those that would like to contribute to the forums to insure it's longevity and continued evolution. This program was designed to help offset the operating costs of the dedicated server, bandwidth and developmental/software costs. Your support will allow us to continue to improve the site and cover the costs associated with providing this resource.
Is DRN worth $3.25 a month to you?
These programs are optional. Other forums like DRN have gone to full subscription based programs, forcing all members to contribute. We're doing it differently. We'd ask that those that WANT to contribute, do so. For those that can't, or prefer not to, you can still use the forums, but on a limited basis.
How to Join
To join one of the memberships, please go to "User CP" (the link in the nav bar at the top of the forums). That will take you to your control panel. See the links on the left side of the screen in the user control panel, scroll to the bottom and click "DRN Memberships" then select an option.
We hope you find value in the Forums and will consider supporting it!

That depends.
If you subscribed more than 2-3 months ago, paypal will email you, telling you the subscriptions is due. If you do nothing, it will auto renew. If you want to cancel, you need to go to paypal and cancel it.
If you subscribed recently, through the USER CP (this is the new system), DRN will send you an email telling you the subcription is due. If you do nothing, the subscription will cancel and your user status will return to "registered".
See the image below for the new way, found in your "User CP", under "DRN Subscriptions" (the User CP link is at the top of each page)

Just wondering what happened to my 'registration' ... I feel a bit like a dork, but here goes ... what the heck, I'm and old guy with a computer, what do you expect?
I have been a Registered member since ~mid-2003 ... got a bunch of very valuable help with my engine problems from several of the folks in the 4-Stroke forum. Since that time I have been exploring other forums and have discovered the Michigan Trail Riders group whose activities I am interested in becoming involved ... subsequently I have joined this group. In studying the SOP of DRN I became aware of the membership levels and decided on Sunday, 21mar04 to become a Lifetime Support Team Member ... I figure that this payment is due for all the expert help I received from the folks who posted in answer to my technical questions.
To make a long story short, almost immediately after completing the subscription through PayPal on 21mar04 my access to the site seemed to expand to levels described for Lifetime STMs ... e.g., access to the membership list, Private Email. However, since that time, my access to all of these additional capabilities has disappeared and I am greated with a grey box telling me that I do not have sufficient privileges to access these areas?
Just wondering if I have done something wrong ... I have logged off several times, cleared my cookies ... the situation seems stable in this limited access configuration. My PayPal account indicates that the transaction has been completed to DRN per details copied below. Can you help me figure this out?
Thanks,
Terry Nestrick

Thanks for the very quick response ... now, if the rest of the world worked only half as good as DRN admin ... I look forward to many hours poking around in here.

Okie,
I got to thinking about my earlier question and your reply. I didn't pay with PayPal so will they still notify me?

Layton, no, you won't get any notification of any kind. It's a manual process that was used in the beginning and the reason we do it the way we do now.
