900 dollar's new bike or upgrade old bike?

Well ive been wanting a another 4 stroke but the only way i would go for it is if i could buy a 2004-2005 model. But i just got 900 dollar's by selling my old car. So should i sell my old bike which is in mint condition 2001 cr 250 and combine the money and buy a 4 stroke or should i upgrade the hell out of my cr250?

I know it would take a while to sell my bike and find a bike that's the only reason why im leaning towards upgrading mine.

But i cant think of any more upgrades, i know their is a **** load but is there any that would make that big of a difference?

I have a FMF fatty, and power core 2 silencer so far, not that much but what else could i do...

Im just really confused im not good at making big descions by my self I could maybe get 2500 on a good day for my cr 250 since it only has around 60 hours on the whole bike and is mint + 900 = 3,400 so i dont even know if that is enough to get my a 2003-2005 four stroke.

But any opionions or help to lead me in the right direction is good

I'd keep your bike and put the money into having the suspension setup to your weight and riding style. That makes a whole lot bigger difference than an extra 2,3 or even 5 hp, unless all you ride is dunes.

Sell the bike se the money to buy a nice new bike. Then when you get more money you can modify the new bike

For me i sold my 01 and bought a 06crf450r.. You got too ask yourself "Do i plan on riding at least once a week or just a few times a year?" I ride just about weekly so i went the new bike route.. FWIW, i sold my 01kx250 in 2 days being it is a California green sticker bike and i kept it in good condition..

easy question, first it seems like you dont have alot of money. Ive heard the upkeep on the newer 4 strokes is expensive. Also if you like your Cr keep it, if not sell it.

Yes i ride weekly, it's just im only 17 and i do not have a job at the moment quit my old one about 2 months ago. So i cant get a new 4 stroke like 06. Ill probably just keep the cr.
