Ok im gettn a yz250f soon and wanted if it would be werth saving a bit more to get the aparentle "heaps better" 03 modle. wat do you guyes think? oh are they good bikes im coming of a yz125.....

your "Bikes" signature says you have a 1998 YZ125, either of these bikes will probably be a good bit "better" than your current bike solely because of the age differences. however, the 01 YZ250F was a first year bike, i have met people who own 01s and 03s and they race the 03', and practice on the 01' because the 03' is a lot better in every category: power, suspension, handling, quality, ergonomics, etc. if your buying a 250F that old, youd better be careful, who knows what couldve been done to any of those bikes in 4-6 years?!? id personally save up for a newer bike if your stuck on a 250F, but, out of those three, id go for the 03'.

Lots of upgrades on the '03... I would try to find an '03 if you can. I owned one for 3.5 years... great bike! I also came off a YZ 125 ('01) to the YZ 250F. I personally will never buy another 125 again.

I had an 01 250F and the 03 I have now is worlds better.
