DR 350 wont rev past 3k
Hi everyone, new to forum. I've got a Suzuki DR 350..I beleive its a 91, but im not sure. Anyway, it will start and ride but it wont rev past 3k..? I pulled the left side stator? cover off and noticed that it was full of oil..? Is this normal? I really want to get this thing on the road to save some gas money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, that's normal for a DR.
No, not really. What's it do when you get to 3k?

pull the carb off, take the bowl off the carb, soak it all over night in some carb cleaner, blow everything out with compressed air, put it back on the bike.

It just kindof dies out, it keeps running ...it just sputters and looses power.

Sounds like your main jet is clogged.
I'm not 100%, but I think most 4 strokes have oil in the stator area.

All right...Ill have to do some carb work then. It had been sitting for a while and I took it out for a ride, It was fine for about 10 minutes then it just lost all its ass..So i guess it sucked some junk in somewhere where it shouldnt be..
