Fork Oil Question
Hey all,
I went riding 2 days ago and my fork seals started to pee oil.
I have new fork seals, bushings, dust seals (all oem). I was wondering how much oil would be required to do fork seal service?
I have 1 L of Motul 5W. Enough?
Bike is a 1992 CR250R,
Thanks

You will need to pick up a second bottle. You won't need much from the second bottle, a few ounces or so.

Sweet, Thanks.
I still have to make a seal taper and get on this on Thursday/Friday. I'm going to buy 2 bottles of Bel Ray Fork Oil.

Can anybody please tell me what the fork oil level is supposed to be for a 1992 CR250R? I checked the online clymer on google books and they left the page out.
I'm assuming its 107mm as 1991 std and 1994 std
Fork oil level, is that including the spring or no?

With the springs out and the forks collapsed, 3-4" from the top.
3" if you are heavier and want more bottoming resistance
closer to 4" if you are lighter and want a plusher ride.

Thank you for the response...
I'm about 205lbs... so I think i'll go with 3.5" and possilby add more. So more fluid = more bottoming resistance?
