Does fork oil weight affect high speed compression damping?

Trying to work out some high speed compression issues on an older 95 cr125. No real money to dump into it so I was wondering about how the oil weight affects the compression stroke. I currently have .41 springs in (stock is .39) and running 5wt oil. Will running a lighter weight oil (like 2.5wt) help the fork's initial plushness?

Thx,

SCI

I don't know of much in the way of lighter fork ol than 5w.
I would like to see you try a little less amount of it and it just may work for you.
It as for me before.
Good luck!

Small changes in oil wt will have no effect on highspeed compression as current supension componets are designed. It will have an effect on the low speed compression damping.

Take a look at the FAQ section on www.mx-tech.com
