Glen Helen Helmet Cam Videos

Here’s a few helmet cam videos that were posted on Proride by regular weekend type riders (like most of us). I thought these were entertaining.

The is the first lap of the 6 hour race at Glen Helen .. notice the bottleneck at the bridge. This is a GP style course laid out for the 6 hour.

Here’s a couple more from a Vet X race at Glen Helen. Vet X is a vet motocross racing club … the track is maybe a bit shorter than usual. The Vet X club is known for the highest “sandbagger” rate of any of the SoCal Vet clubs (they have 3 beginner classes – first time beginner, true beginner and beginner). This race was the +28 Novice/Intermediate.

Maybe it's just me, but those vids made me want to ride.

The GP and MX races were on different days.

The steep downhills and uphills can't really be felt in the vids. The guys in the race aren't slow, they're just going down long steep hills that tend to make arms pump and cheeks pucker. Same with the uphills .. they're steeper than they appear.

I hope Glen Helen stays with us ...it can be a nasty course .. but it's a "one of a kind" place.

Great vids holeshot. Just like being there.

Are you going to the nats? I hope everyone goes and makes this the biggest year ever for Glen Helen. The Feldkamps could use everyone's support.
