yz250f conversion

i have a quick question i have asked on a couple forums that i cant seem to get answered i put an 02' yz250f engine in and 06' frame. the Q is on the top right side of the 06'oil sump there is a stand pipe, which i think would go to the lower right engine case on an 06' . since im using an 02 engine the case doesn't have this port. unlike the 06' the 02' valve cover has 2 stand pipes one for crankcase breather the other came from the in frame oil tank which had a stand pipe. SO can i route a hose from the 06' external sump stand pipe to my valve cover or do i have to get a 06' side cover with a port which intended.

also how much oil should it take and how can i check the oil (no dripstick or sight glass)

personally I would just get the DRD wetsump kit and change the oil more often.
