2001 - 2004 rm 250 fork/oil.

Hello everyone.

I have a 2001 rm250 and would appreciate it if anyone can give the stock oil height and oil weight(w) for my forks. I would also appreciate it if anyone can explain what the difference in fork oil designations do and how they effect your riding ex. 5w 10w 15w.

all modern japanese forks are designed to run 5wt oil. is this a 47mm showa fork? then it could be the same as a honda fork, approx. 380cc in the outer tube.
or is it a 49mm showa
