Neck Brace's
Ok I have been out of racing for some time and just now getting back into it. I am starting to pick up the speed again and I have been thinking about getting one of the neck braces. What is recomended? I dont wear a chest protector usually or if I do its one of the under foam ones that just blocks roost. I see most attach to chest protectors or w/e so any info would be greatly appreciated....

According to at least on manufacturer, those that attach them to the chest protector shouldn't. The $400 Leatt is probably the best bang for the buck, as it is very adjustable. The lesser Leatt is a second, due to the fact that it is not as adjustable. The EVS doesn't look like a bad piece, but it is basically a neck roll up front. The Alpinestars brace is just too expensive and clunky looking when compared to the Leatt. Take a look at them all, and talk to the guys at the track that you see wearing them, then decide what is best for your situation.

Good info. Whats the difference between the cheaper one $225 and the mid road one $395?

The 395 one has more adjustment to get a better fit/customize. The cheaper one is good if you fall into that "average" build
