Will RM 125 shock fit RM 250?

Hey guys my 07 RM 250 has a blown shock seal and the local guy wants $150 to replace it... I found a shock from a 2003 RM 125, will it work? I think the only difference is that the 03' used a KYB shock correct? Thanks guys, if it works I will save alot of money!

Why in the world why you not replace the seal in the original shock? The one in the 03 will probly start leaking the day after you put it on and still cost 150 to replace.

The guy said the shock has been sitting for like 3 years, and its 1/4 the price to buy a new shock/spring compared to having mine rebuilt.

why not send it to a suspension tuner? just one of them here:

$75 plus parts seems an adequate price, then you have a working shock for years...
