The Haunted Honda.....

Unique dilema.
A gal freind i know has a CR250 for sale.
Price is good, bikes in good shape.
Its been for sale over a year now.

I know the economy is bad, but i just couldnt fathom why this bike hasnt sold yet?
She told me several people were interested, but always backed off of the deal.
hmmmmm?

Then she fessed up.
Her husband was killed on it.
Was geared up and all i guess, but died of a freak accident on it.
I backed off too.
Would just feel too.............weird, riding something like that.

Just curious what y'all would do?
Good deal, sharp ride, but.............haunted?

Buy it and ride it. If I avoided every bike someone got hurt on I'd never ride my OWN bikes.

What type of bike and what price?

Best tribute to a fellow rider is to keep on riding!

Well i misunderstood the price.
I thought she said $1700, it was $2700.
Bike is a '03 Cr250 close by here in Farmington Nm.

Bike is in nice shape though.
Was considering it since ive been spending so much time at the Aztec track lately.
And XR650's arent exactly great motoX bikes. (fun though i'll admit)

She has a "four wheeled offroad device", but says she might just try learning how to ride the CR herself.

I say more power to her.
Maybe hubby's spirit will be watching over her?

Still got the pig? Did you ever plate it?

I sold mine to Kav. He is tall enough to ride it.

I miss Moab ...

Gotta agree with Rich on this one. Freak accidents happen and they don't have to be on a dirtbike.

Consider parting the whole thing out, with no explanations. Praying for the mans sole & family over all the parts may get rid of the bad juju.
I know it sounds nutty, but it's all I can offer.
My condolences to the family.

Yep still got it.
And its great granpappy too. (the 82 xl500r)
Got it running last year after getting a 82 xr cylinder head for it.
So i never plated the pig.
Bought a Cherokee, and started putting money into it.

Moab's still there man. Better come on over and enjoy it before the eco-nazi's get it shut down!
