Kdx 200/220
Does any one know of an importer to the U.k?
Kawasaki U.K only supply the 220.
I previously owned a KDX 200 1990 model E2 and liked the power delivary but I've heard the 220 is weak top end. Is this true? And can this rectified without any major tuning?
I would be prepared to get a pipe and power reeds and mabe the pwk 35 carb but I dont want to spend loads of cash on mods if I would be better off with a 200.
Thanx

a rev pipe, bigger carb & raising the cylinder a bit will make the 220 rev, after raising the cylinder the head & cylinder top will need to be milled to get some cylinder pressure back into it or the whole power band will be soft. 2 base gaskets and @200 psi cylinder pressure will make the 220 run really good. See dyno chart

Don't get too worked up the difference in top end performance between the 200 and 220 is minimal. Some easy tuning will put a smile on your face and have you hunting down 200s in no time.

Price difference U.K-U.S
The other thing I've noticed is how cheap the bikes in the U.S are.
In the U.K the 220 retails for £3525, now I dont know how that converts into U.S $ but it sounds a lot more than the $4399 Kawasaki advertise on their web page. I always thought approx double meaning approx $7000? Have I got the conversion rate wrong or are kawasaki U.K ripping us off on this side of the pond????????

That works out to just under six thousand dollars US. Man, I'm glad I don't pay your prices!
