Thumbs up Pro Moto Billet Kickstand

I just got the new YZ Kickstand from Pro Moto Billet, and I couldn't be happier. It was a little more than the cheesy swingarm mounted kickstands I was seeing, but worth the exta $'s to me. The build quality is great, it's super lightweight, and I couldn't ask for a better fit... it tucks up out of the way very nicely.

See http://www.promotobillet.com/kickstands.htm
I've been very happy with customer support as well.
If you have any questions I found Lynn to be very helpful...
here's his email-> sales@promotobillet.com

Regards,
Colin

I agree, bought the same unit for my YZ400F and it was a snap to install. Well designed and built and solves a problem I've had since owning the bike. Agree that it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for...

The PMB stand looks awesome, but does anybody have this less expensive alternative from Trail Tech?

I have the MSR bolt on kind that bolts to the swing arm, and personally for $40 bucks new off Ebay, I think I got a great deal, and I dont feel a kick stand will get that much abuse. NOW i do admit, it does get in the way of my cool swing arm graphics, now that iratated me.

I have owned bikes with swingarm mounted kickstands, and although they did the job, they will occasionally hang in deep ruts. I actually sheared one of the aluminum ones off of my swingarm while riding the rocks in Colorado. The Pro moto billet kickstand is the best all-around kickstand that I have used in awhile. It is very light, and tucks away nicely. The only thing I didnt care for was the price, but I ended up paying it anyway. It is a well built piece and it kept me from having to modify my bike and\or swingarm to make it work.

Holy crap is that expensive! It looks awesome, and it looks like it'd work awesomely, but dang! And the thing I don't like about it is that I can't get one for me bike. Only works on Yamaha's and Honda's.

I have the TrailTech kickstand and it works great and was easy to install. Only gripe is it hits the side panel when it swings up. I've learned to live with it. Not a big deal. Great price. $80.95 from ThumperTalk.

The Trailtech kickstand is a high quality unit that bolts directly to the frame of the Yz and CR. I wish Trailtech made a complete unit to replace the POS on my KTM. I bought a $75 replacement bracket for my KTM from BRAP and it is a huge design and quality improvement but uses the stock leg. Adding the aluminum plate does help for another $22.
