03 KX250 Set Up

Recently bought an 03 KX250 and need to set up the suspension. After riding it a couple of times I can tell right away that I'm too heavy for the stock springs. Anyone have any suggestions on spring rates?

I weigh around 200 pounds. I tend to like my suspension more on the stiffer side.

What type of riding are you doing! I believe there running 4.4s and a 5.1 in the rear on the 03 the fronts look to be about right .the rear I would say a 5.4 or 5.5 you can check the mx-tech or the race tech site they both have spring searches but I dont think they have the 03's up yet

Yeah ride that bike a bit first before you make any decisions . Unless youre big . Ive worked on a few of these and We were softening them a bit (forks anyway) Thats what we thought . If youre heavy you might want to look around . Break it in good first though .
