Once RC reeled him in, it wasn't much of a battle.. RonRon faded after a few laps...
I hope next year Bubba gets on a 250!!

Another cake walk for RC.

I don't think this season is really going to be a cakewalk for RC. He got out quickly these last 2 races, and Reed was making time on him last night every lap until the lapped riders came up. RC hasn't had the 1 or 2 second a lap faster times this year, compared to last year. Lusk fell at the start last night, and would have been a major player in the outcome had he come out up front early on. His speed was said to be faster than RC, and Lusk made it to 6th from last--not too bad.
It all comes down to RC's insisting on doing everything right all the time. He doesn't just accept any small flaw and is willing to work on everything until every component of the race is owned by him. When it all comes together for him, he wins---as in the last 2 races. But he's going to have some suboptimal starts soon, and have to fight for it if Lusk or Reed get out front quickly.
I actually (privately) picked DV to win the race last night. I just figured Bailey's instruction would be setting in about now. Now that he's been on the podium, I'd look for improved confidence from him, as well as some of Bailey's instruction showing through routinely, soon.
I think the next races are going to be a mixed bag of winners: DV, CR, Carmichael & Lusk. LaRocco might even win one. This is a great season for the fans. :thumb:
