I have been trying for over three weeks to find a shop that will rebuild the crank for my 400 without paying as much as I would for an entire crank assembly. I have had the crank at 2 shops already and both were unable to do the work.
HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give Eric Gorr a call.

Checked Gorrs site, going rate 175$ just to rebuild not counting parts. I can by a crank assembly from wiseco for 333$. I will however keep Gorr in mind.
Thanks for the input!

Take a close look at the timing chain sprocket before you decide to rebuild it , It might help you make up your mind. Alot of the 250Fs have been throwaways.

Thanks for the input guys. I found a shop and dropped it off. The crank should be ready by tuesday 07/13/04. The timing gear is fine, I looked it over before I even thought about dropping it off.
