Mile high jetting.

Could any of you mile high guys give a recommendation on jetting on a '99 WR400 Yamaha for above 7,500 to 12,000 feet?

I'm checking with a guy that knows the answer and I'll let you know if he lets me know. It gave me an excuse to try and get in on a ride up at his cabin in Colorado. He also just got a KTM 950, so maybe he'll let me test crash that for him.

Here's what Jim said he used:
162 main, needle in 2nd position, 45 pilot and fuel screw at 1.5 turns out.

Thank you very much Wes.

We're setting one up to do the Colorado 500.

I don't know what kind of exhaust he had, want me to ax him?

Yes please.

We are running the FMF w/the Q tip.

Are you riding the 500? I always wanted to, but I'm too much of a puss to make it now.

Jim's gonna get back to me on the exhaust, soon I think. Oh, Jim can tell you exactly what kind of milage you can get too.

He said he used the stock exhaust with a thumper insert.

Thanks VD. I'm setting the bike up for a friend of mine. If his schedule does not allow him to ride I will be his back up.

One day is over 200 miles, not sure I can make it either. Would be fun to try though.

We are going to do a db test on the exhaust. May wind up running the stock one.

Thanks again.
