Reliability of RM-Z

I can get a really really really good price on an 05 RM-Z. I am in the market for a new bike. Knowing that I have a 125 now and ride it *very* hard, will I run into problems with a 4 stroke? Are the RM-Z's reliable as 4 strokes go? I am more than willing to take care of it, heck, I do 2 cranks a year on my 125 now!
Thanks very much for any and all advice.

Lot of horror-stories about the 04 model over here too , but you are considering the 05 model , right ? I believe theres lots of changes on the new model , new radiators , gearbox and so....And if they let the coolant run through both radiators on the 05 model , perhaps it will last a little longer....

Yes, 05 model.

I would think the 05' model would be more reliable than the 04' because of the changes they made for the 05 model year....
However, in terms of maintenance, you are going to have many more moving parts than a 125 2 stroke...Yes, you already replace the crank twice a year on your 125, now throw in cam, cam chain, cam chain tensioner, valves, ect..ect...In addition to having the same parts as your 125 that will need replacing such as the piston, rings, circlip, bearings, and crank...

It would have to be better does anyone watch the mx nationals? Suzuki and kawi are not doing to well with theyre 250 4strokes 2nd moto at unadilla davi milsaps out of water in radiator and blew his bike. in ohio at the nationals ivan tedesco blew his kawi and davi milsaps blew his suzook. Theyre must be a problem if two bikes blow up in one moto. Looks like it is a yzf in my near future.

In the preview of the '05 models nothing is mentioned (that I am aware of) about the two-piece intake valves going one-piece. If they fixed that along with the other problems the bike should be good to go, but if not they just put out another time bomb.
