hello, I have a few different bikes but I have the chance to buy a 199 TTR225 for $1900 with a baja design dual sport kit installed. I am looking at this bike for my girlfriend to ride... Does anyone ride one of these bikes? If so what is the poor like? Is it a tank or a join to ride? I will be riding either my Xr250L or my XT350 with her... Thanks for your help!

NO! NO! NO!
Big, heavy, pig of a bike! Under suspended, under powered.
E-start is a plus but the bike is not what you want. Look for an XR100/200 or TTR 125L
Do a search in the womens forum, they have covered this issue and this bike extensively!

Bad battery, heavy, extremely hard to warm up (takes about 15min), geared to low.
I sold my wifes and bought a TTR 125L, she loves it. It has made riding alot more fun for everyone

I agree with the comments listed above - especially the "heavy" part. We tested out the TTR225, XR200 and ended up with the TTR125 - great little bike so far.

If you where looking at a ttr225 i think u should get a xr200. it is much lighter with about equal power and is a little smaller. it is a little more powerful then a ttr125 and know as a good girls bike

A friend of mine has one of these, I got to ride it...before he sold it! ( after a month )
My thoughts...Heavy, weird handling PIG!!! Too many nice bikes to waste your time with one of these.
Just say no... :D
