tt-r 125l airbox modification

I have heard about an airbox modification on a yamaha tt-r 125l. I was wondering exactly how to do it, and how much of a performance gain there is.

I opened it all the way. Removed the snorkle and then cut the opening out to the edge of the rib. I then opened up the cage and filter mounting plate. I also removed the mesh but I'm thinking of putting it back in. Difference was good but muffler is restrictive so you then need to opwen that up.
