MXdN vs. ISDE

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Something tells me that maybe Racer Productions (the people that bring you the GNCC's, the High Point National, and, of course, RacerX) should maybe take over the AMA MX Nationals as well. They seem to be able to get a team fielded for the ISDE, and raise money to help defray costs for the racers.

Why is it that we can send a trophy team of 6 racers to the ISDE, which is a freakin' SIX DAY event, but we can't send 3 motocrossers to a ONE DAY event for the MXDN. Some will say "oh, well it costs us money to ship bikes and stuff" -- baloney. There has to be more stuff shipped to keep bikes running for six days rather than a one day MX event, right?

Seems rather prima donna to me . . .

That's because off-roaders are way cool like that...geez you think you would get that already.

Psst...off-road isn't the big TV/ad revenue bizness...yet.

MX is too caught up in what dance to do on the podium before commercial break.

It's all money in mx(ALOT!) and the offroad guys don't make the cash and don't have the schedule the mx guys have.

Don't have the schedule? Cripes! They do GNCC's, WORCS, National Enduros, Hare & Hound, Best In The Desert, etc, etc, etc . . .

Those guys run more series than the MX guys would ever think of! And for less money.

I still call shenanigans

Shenanigans!!

I never once beleived it was a decision based on money, heres my take on it
RC said he will go but not if he has no support, and wont go with a B team to support him-he did a good job last year but doesnt want a repeat performance(ie no overall win). They said we will try and KW and bubba said 'no way dude' so RC said stuff it, the AMA then blame everyone including the factories and lack of funds. The factories dont mind this as they collectivly look bad but not individually.

No doubt. I have an idea. Why not send Mike Kiedrowski, Rodney Smith and Ty Davis to the Des Natioins? Atleast I know them guys would give it their all.......

Yeah, They are all former top Motocross and Supercrosser's. Hmmm.... Makes me wonder. Anyone think RC or any of the other MX super stars will one day race the GNCC's, Hare & Hound, or the like? I doubt it....

I could see Brown doing it...he is old school mean, definetly LaRocco too (I think he would be a great off-roader), maybe Ricky, but who knows?
