I have more fun riding my 25 year old KDX 175 than I do riding my 2004 KFX 400, go figure. Normally I do around 25-30 miles on the quad then call it a day. Today I put 30 miles on the KDX, went back to the truck to load up and decided to refuel and go back out on the trails for another 20 miles. I rode a total of 50 miles today, almost all woods with only a couple of fire roads. Maybe I should trade in that quad and get a fresh KDX

Four wheels means you hit twice as many rocks, roots, ruts, trees, twigs, logs, bumps and boulders. 20 miles on a quad is like 40 on a bike, only slower!

Lose the wheelchair!

hmmmm, maybe I should try a unicycle...

Seriously, I hate having to worry about banging rocks with my 6-8 inches of ground clearance! I bought an aftermarket skid plate for the rear end but I have had to take it off and rebend it back into shape after every ride. Another thing is that after riding twice as long on the bike yesterday I was half as dirty as riding 10 min. on the quad. As soon as I hit any mud on that thing I am covered.
