swingarm rebuild?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

i heard some where that after a while all the bearings and collars in your swing-arm wear out and cuase problems and make your suspension feel not so great. Isn't it JUST bearings and collars, dust seals,etc.. I thought that just as long as you kept your bearings greased then every thing would be fine unless you found a problem. Am i right, or am i headed in the wrong direction?

Not only the swingarm but pay attention to the linkage bearings too. You'd be surprised at the effects of even slightly dry and sticky bearings and how much it can affect the action of your suspension.

but if i were to just grease all the bearings would that be alwright or is there some things that wear over time?

put your bike on a stand, lift the rear wheel and see if there is any play in it. If there is trace it to the source. Replace what you need to, but at least pull everything apart and clean it all and regrease it.
