rebound adjuster

Hi guys,
Quick question, the rebound adjustment on the rear shock has gone from 20 clicks to 10 since my last ride, what would cause this? and how concerned should i be? 
sorry the bike is an 03 yz250

It's "gone"? As in it changed by itself?

Sorry I should clarify my sleep deprived meaning of gone. The rebound adjuster on the shock originally had 20 clicks of adjustment. I went to adjust it at the track and discovered that I could only go ten clicks in or out as opposed to 20 what would cause this?
