Marzocchi 48mm on a '02 CRF 450

i searched the archives and couldn't find an answer to my dilemma. i got a set of those liquidated 48mm marzocchi slivers from cannondale. upon installing them on my '02 crf 450 with applied triple clamps i realized that my axle is too short. i thought i measured everything prior to installation. but i didn't check the "dropouts"(where the axle mounts to the wheel). they're centered on the zokes as compared the showas. the spread from the applied crf triple is 200mm c to c and the cannondales is 190. can i buy an axle for this set up or will i have to beg the father inlaw to turn me one? at least that would be cheaper than new triples or machining some cannondale triples to fit my honda. sorry this is so long. what do you think? thanks!

Maybe start with a street bike one - they seem to be longer?

that sounds like a big crap shoot.

I'm gonna put up a couple of links, if the links don't get shut-down they should be able to get you an axle. They should be available.

thanks for the links. i don't know if they can help. unless i can get a top triple and steerer. then i can use the cannondale lower triple i have. it's worth a shot. thanks again.

Just in the process of doing the same to mine. I am getting a guy to machine my parts in whales to fit my TM. If you like contact me on blancs@eircom.net and he will make up a new axel and spacers for you. His work is a1
