(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I posted preveuse thread about how my shock leaking and how I was going to do the work myself. Well...... Disassembling it was no problem but what I found is puzzeling me. Upon taking the dampener assembly out of the shock body. I found that their is no topout spring . I read the thread about this shock and Jeremy talked about the topout spring on the 2002 CR250. Even going to the point of taking a picture of it. I don't think this shock was sent to a suspension tuner for revavling. I don't know how to identify it from different year Showas. If anyone knows how to identify this shock by the number on it please help. Don't know what to do next. I just got this bike a month ago.

If its not got one then i woulnt worry-its not like it makes a world of difference, just rebuild it and ride.

If it is a 2000 CR250, then it never had one.

02 was the first year they had them so listen to JTT and Marcus and relax....you're fine.
