What you are actually buying is a mini Fredette clone that sits where your clutch lever used to be and does all the work for you.
Do a sarch for EFM and you'll be set.

It's an added piece to your clutch consisting of a centrifigally actuated mechanism that engages your clutch based on engine rpm. You lose your clutch lever (on the kdx..not true on every type of bike).
It requires modification to your existing clutch pieces to allow the attachment of the above mentioned mechanism.
It's not cheap.
The EFM is adjustable via change to the mechanism spring pressure. You have to take the clutch cover off to do that..it's not like adjusting your clutch via the lever assembly you have now.

Basically, you shift your bike without using a clutch lever. Just put it in gear and go. It "automatically" does the clutch thing when you come into turns and apply the brakes and whatnot. Makes your bike pretty much impossible to stall.

Actually it doesn't take long at all to get used to. Skipro is right, usually once you try it, you get hooked. It doesn't detract from your riding experience, it enhances it...at least that is what all of the owners, including me, have to say about it.

Yep, it is amazing. What a difference in the rocky hill climbs - just roll on and off the throttle at will and concentrate on other aspects of driving while climbing that badass hill
It is also REALLY cool having the rear brake where the clutch lever was. The brake slides are incrediibly easy. And you can't ever stall it. Just lock up the rear tire at will, then roll back on the gas when the slide is done.
This thing is up there with a steering stabilizer in the way it dramatically improves your riding, and you will not ride without one again...
