If you don't have a factory service manual then get one
In the mean time use this:
http://www.buykawasaki.com/Default....ID=2&intParts=1
Get to your parts diagram, then choose forks, then hit the magnify button and you can see how it goes together.

No, I'm not picking at 'ya..but if you don't know which way the seal faces, how are you going to orient the sliders? Which way do the seams face? What are you going to use to drive in/seat the seals?
Not to throw a JW at you, but you need a manual before you make the whole assembly useless with incorrect assembly.

Thanks guys. I am new to this forum but not to dirt bikes. I have been playing with dirt bikes for a bout 30 years now. I assumed and see that the KDX forkes are very simular to the XR Showa's. I did't want to get a manual just to see how the oil seal goes in. Through the years I've collected to many manuals, truck, cars, tractoers and bikes. no more space to store manuals.
just wanted to be sure, Showa's are oppsite closed side down.
Thanks for quick response, Roland
