Which weekend works best for you?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: gospeedracer---------------------

Either one works for me, I just want everyone to be able to go.
You can select both weekends if you really have no preference.

Posted by: nikki---------------------

Red and I can make both, would just have to fly back home Sunday morning if it's Feb 18-20. No big deal either way.

Posted by: Farmer John---------------------

I voted for the non VD weekend, but I'm in for either.

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

Wouldn't it make more sense to start a thread called Reno Ride 2005? I can make the 11th...can't do the 18th.

Posted by: velosapiens---------------------

i chose the first weekend because the quicksilver nat'l enduro is scheduled for the 20th.

Either weekend works for me...

Posted by: Kav---------------------

I'm there no matter what

Posted by: Moteaux---------------------

Will try to make it no matter which weekend it is. So I didn't vote in the poll

Posted by: Unkle Moose---------------------

3 day holiday weekend!

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

At first it didn't matter...then I looked at Peppermill rates. If the ride takes place V-day weekend and you stay at the peppermill you'll save about $60 in hotel rates, not including taxes and all that stuff...

So my new vote is in for V-Day weekend!

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

Scratch what I just posted...you save even more if you stay in the motel part...

Here's the pricing I just called and got:

Thursday, February 10th and Sunday, February 13th, one queen bed: $39.99/night
Friday, February 11th and Saturday, February 12th: $49.99/night

Posted by: VintageDirt---------------------

What if you're not a Queen?

Never mind, I don't mind dressing up just to get the discount.

LMAO

I'm working on getting rates for the other weekend too for comparison purposes...

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

Okay the rates for both weekends are the same if you stay in the motor lodge...if you stay in the hotel, then there's a big difference in rates.

Posted by: Rooster---------------------

Pick a date already!!

Posted by: Tony Eeds---------------------

I am good with either, so I didn't vote.

I do like saving money though, just not a the risk of discord, so y'all pick and I will be there. Are the room rates the same for the ones where Lou and I stayed last year? Those were nice. I want to try and get one there again.

Heck, I have to leave on Wednesday and will not get home until Tuesday either way.

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

I believe that is considered part of the motor lodge Tony.

Posted by: biglou---------------------

I say the earlier weekend, so Nik and Red can get all three days of riding in. Otherwise they gotta leave Sunday morning if it's on Pres weekend...

All in favor?
Opposed?

I'm in favor...gotta have Nik & Red there the whole time!

Posted by: Unkle Moose---------------------

Nope sorry, needs to be Presidents Weekend, Mondays a holiday so I don't have to that day off, kids are out of school both Friday and Monday. That works great for the 3 groups of family's coming up with me. If it is Valentines weekend everyone have good safe time.

Kraig

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

I just wish someone would pick a date and set it in stone...the hotel is booking up fast and airfare prices are actually reasonable right now.

Posted by: nikki---------------------

Don't worry about us - we'll be there either weekend. Last year we only got to ride for 2 days and that was okay. 3 would be preferred, but 2 is better than NONE!

Posted by: bbbom---------------------

If we make it this year, we can take you guys on a nice little ride to Hell's Canyon. It'll make 2 days of riding seem like 3!!!!

I might be lookin' for a date, but you gotta wear a wig too. Bald chicks just don't work according to Hoyle

Posted by: Strick---------------------

Does this mean the infamous XRpredator is coming to Reno?

Posted by: E-Ticket---------------------

Hey Meester Streek,

I pooshed your "Florida Voting Buttons" ....but dunno know if I did it right or not. <grin>

Susan/Randy can make either weekend -- but we vote for which ever weekend is a 3-day'r -- to help out all those who are travelin'....

Cheers! - RandyB

Posted by: Tony Eeds---------------------

Whoo Hooo

I got my daughter 90% talked into coming ! Of course I have to get her an airplane ticket. What are Dads for, right?

Now I have to work on my son.

This is gonna be a fun time !!!

I don't think it is a coincidence that this thread went nuts the week after DW. Focusing on the next big ride makes the days go quicker.

Live to ride and ride to live!!

Posted by: E-Ticket---------------------

Let's please pick a weekend so we can schedule....

Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease
Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.....

............Thank you! - RandyB

Posted by: firecracker22---------------------

Doesn't really matter for me . . . I picked the first weekend just so it's one week closer but I can get the time off either way.

Posted by: CJ Rider---------------------

Hey folks- Since us out-of-towners have a ways to drive (17 hrs), and since we get an extra day off with President's Day on the 21st, I'm kinda pulling for the 18th-20th. Just a thought for us and maybe other out-of-towners.... Can't wait to ride with ya'll again!

Posted by: gospeedracer---------------------

looks like a coin toss may work better than this poll.

Posted by: nikki---------------------

Seems Feb 18-20 is emerging as the poll leader, doesn't it make sense just to go with that?

Posted by: E-Ticket---------------------

Hey Strick!

Let's pull the trigger and go for Feb. 18-20....!

I made reservations for both weekends so once a decision is made I can go back & cancel the ones I do not need.

Posted by: LoriKTM---------------------

Pick a date already!!!!

Posted by: Kav---------------------

Ya we need to pick one!

Posted by: nikki---------------------

I would like to book our flights today....

Looks like Feb 18-20th will be the Reno ride?

Everyone agree with this?

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

I don't agree, but I do understand.

Posted by: squeaky---------------------

Since that seems to be what the majority of people want...let's go for it!

Posted by: Tinkrides---------------------

Once a date is decided upon, can someone make it a new thread (like Reno Ride 2005 - the dates, or something) - this is all very confusing! I voted for Prez's day for a longer weekend, but either one works for me (not that my input matters in the least b/c I'm the newbie )!
On the financial side - if anyone is going solo (like I'm pretty sure I will be), maybe somebody wants to split the cost of the room, or even "truck-pool" together to save on gas. I'm friendly and have good hygiene (no cooties!).

Posted by: Kav---------------------

What happend to those goof-balls from Canada? they haven't posted once.

Tink;
Don't rag on your self because your new to the site dude, just have fun.

As far as a new thread goes. Trust me one will pop up with many more to follow. (odds are it will get it's own fourm like the '04 ride did)And I'm sure some one will be willing to convoy/car pool on up.

BTW here's more proof that Reno is a good time (like we need any more) :

Posted by: nikki---------------------

And the poll winner is.........

Feb 18-20th President's Day Weekend!

Let the planning begin!
