Hey,im about 5'8 and a 165 pounds.im a intermedite rider and i ride pretty fast, playing around hitting jumps and stuff.Im gona be buying this bike second hand.Im looking at the yz125 for myself.I could get a 1993 kx125 in really good condition for 2700 but im not sure if the 93 kx's are really good.Well the main question i guess i should ask is,from what year should i get a yz.2000 and up? what things should i look for in buying this bike second hand.Any information would help alot.Thanks

Seriously though, I think the YZ's became really good in the 2002 model year, and every year since has been a good bike as well. Im sure before 2002 they were good too, I just dont know much about them before 2002, I wasnt following them really back then. Good luck in your search for a nice bike. Dont jump at the first bike you see, there are tons of bikes out there for sale, atleast around here there is anyway. Alot of guys buy a new bike, then dont ride it as often as they had planned to and the bike ends up sitting around for a long time. Then they decide to sell it just to get rid of it, thats the kind of bike to buy. There is alot of good deals out there, you just gotta be patient and find them. Mike

I have a '99 yz 125 and I have no complaints. The motor is really modded and the suspension is revalved for my wieght and skill or lack of. I think that '93 is too old if you are serious and 2700 is way too much unless your talking canadian then it is more resonable

2700 for a 93 KX?!?!? sounds like you are getting ripped off to me. You could buy a nice newer YZ for less than that much. Try looking for a newer bike.
