I'm looking for an AMA Pro to campaign the 125 West Coast Supercross Series. A very late change of riders has left an opening. Become a member and post here, or send me a pm or e-mail.

Dang! A week earlier and I could have taken you up on this. Instead I landed a ride with factory Honda for the rest of 05.

Please don't wake me up.

Well its an invitation to enter into a discussion to see if some mutual expectations could be met. As to whether that would lead to a actual offer to ride for us, you may find our expectations higher than your current ones and less financially apealing.

Somebody offered a bigger payday...we are actually talking with a couple guy's. Nothing abnormal in this industry.

Posted by: marcusgunby---------------------

Sorry mark, no one over here is even close to be good enough.

Posted by: ochster---------------------

We have a slew of interest, enough that I don't see finding someone to fit the program is a problem. Their is some heavy hitters lurking on this site, of course we knew that. Thanks marcus, we actually had some interest from an Itallian team and thought I would offer.

let us know who gets the job.

Posted by: Jeff Gilbert---------------------

I have a friend that may be looking for a ride. He filled in some last year for the Samsung team when they were plagued with injuries, even made a main or two. His name is Adam Mennenga, if you like I can have him get in touch with you.

Posted by: ochster---------------------

We had several very good riders try to put something together. Out of respect for their current deals, and possible future deals, I don't want to mention any names. Time constraints for bike familiararity and competing rider sponsor contracts forced us to pull back on a Supercross effort a few days ago. I am very apreciative of the riders and people that really tried to make this happen, very humbling.

mx547, Mr.Reynard and myself talk frequently. As you know their is a common denominator there. I have good feelings about that situation becoming reality. I will let it work back to you from the other side though. Thank you for taking the time to let me know.

Jeff, Please do have Adam shoot me a E-mail with a phone #. He was on several peoples short list.

There is alot of hardworking riders out there deserving of an opportunity. If anyone has an interest to help back a small team, let me know!

Mark

you're welcome. i thought maybe i could help out a drner and a local boy at the same time.

Posted by: Jeff Gilbert---------------------

I sent Adam a message with your email addy.

Posted by: ochster---------------------

Thanks Jeff! You never know how things play out. The passion for this sport and these athletes runs deep in alot of people. I think the term "modern day gladiators" is a good description of these riders.

Posted by: Rich Rohrich---------------------

Good luck with the rider search Mark. I have someone in mind but I'm not sure what his status is for the coming season. I'll find out and let you know.

Posted by: ochster---------------------

Thanks Rich, We are really hoping with some lead time we can attract enough help to have two or maybe three guys racing with full support.

I remember watching Adam ride when he was on 80's back in around 93 or 94. That kid is fast and I really would like to see him do good. Everything I have heard about him has always been positive.

I have seen Adam ride too. He and Chase Reed had some good battles at a local arenacross a couple of years ago.

Posted by: mx547---------------------

i always thought that chase had the most potential of the oklahoma boys. i heard that he's not even riding anymore.

Not sure what the exact deal was but it was very soon after that night at Waco AX that Chad quit riding. He's a very talented rider.

Actually word is that Chase is riding again. He has been seen at a local SX practice track that belongs to his friend and fellow privateer Taylor Watts. I have no idea if he is going to race anymore, or is just out riding for fun, but I will be talking to Taylor in a few weeks so I will see if I can get the word on what's up.
