Scott High Voltage Goggles

Does anyone have these goggles? Are they nice? I have always had Oakleys, kind of looking for something different. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good question, as I was thinking about getting some. I've got the NoSweat IV's and I love the foam and I know it's the same, if that helps.

Do you know if the foam is dif. from the Oakleys? I haven't really found anything on the foam used in either of them.

Good goggles - we recently switched from Smith Fuels (and Warps) to the Scott Hi-Voltage and No Sweat IV's and have been very happy with the Scott goggles. Scott's no sweat foam is awesome - comfortable and works. Smith had a no sweat foam that was standard on their Fuel and Warp goggles for a while, but in 2004 switched to this FAT 3 foam on the majority of the goggles, and that prompted our switch. The Hi-Voltage have a smaller frame than the No Sweat IV's (traditional goggle frame). The up and down vision in the Hi-Voltage took a little to get used to, but we've been very happy with them. Plus they come with a cool amp lens tint which we found works awesome in most all conditions, and the vented goggle design seems to resist fogging as well. I'd give them a try!

I'll have to second Nikki's comment about the Amp lenses. I race Hare Scrambles, so I'm in and out of the woods all day long and visibility with them is awesome. They're just a lil much when it's super bright out, but other than that, I don't use any other lense colors.

Thanks guys for the info! I think I will give them a try. One more question, will they work well riding indoors? Thanks again!

I have had them for about 6 months now. I love them, went from spy goggles (which were great aswell) but I love these scotts. The tinted lense does scratch easily though, but if you are aware of it, just clean them properly and look after them. Mine didnt come with a goggle bad though

Amp lenses are great... seem to work really well when shadows start making berms look bigger than they are

I myself went from Oakleys to the Scott High Voltage goggles. I am very impressed with the Scotts. I love them. They havent been on too many rides so I dont know how durable the lenses are. But as far as I can tell the Scott's are very high quality, excellent goggles.

Oh, the lenses are pretty durable, unless you get some gas on 'em......

Plus, one thing to do is always ride w/a tear-off on. Helps save the lenses a lot.

I don't always use tear-offs, but as soon as I am done riding my goggles are put right into the goggle bag and then stored w/my helmet in it's bag. I think I'll try some, I found some cheap so I thought it might be a good time to try them! Thanks everyone for all the input, all very helpful!

Yep - we always make sure to keep a tearoff on our goggle lenses. Cheap insurance to help keep your lenses scratch free. Scott's got nice tearoffs as well, a much thicker and more durable film compared to Smith's we previously used. Plus you can buy 20 packs once you get the posts. Good deal.

Sorry, my mistake. I have the Warp TI
They are great goggles though
