Pause this slide show and manually advance it. Pretty interesting to frame-by-frame it, and watch how individual riders funnel into the first turn.
Check out the massive amount of pig-slop mud flying... if you weren't in the front 3 positions, you couldn't see squat.

Anyone notice hard hard Bubba cut-off DV and Reed? RC was blocked out by LaRocco too, but he fought right through it. I didn't remember seeing that clearly on ESPN2.

What's up with the black covers on top of some of the helmets? To block mud?
And what's on top of RC helmet? Camera?

foam on the lids to keep the mud from building up. And RC did run a camera. It was rather useless after he went thru the lappers, they showed footage from it and there was a little bit visible in the lower LH corner
