info needed on Gaerne SG1e Nico Izzi Boots

My Name is Jay from N.Y. I have two boys that race Motocross in New England. My 10 year old won a pair of Gaerne SG.1e boots in a reading program through the organization that we race with. They have a 34 IZZI on the outside of the toe area. At first we didn't know what it ment until we read an article in Racer X on a kid named Dominic (Nico) Izzi that races an 85 for Suzuki.
We would like to keep the boots in new condition and possibly try to get other things like autographed pictures of Nico.
We would like to know if these boots were specially made for him or were their alot sold.
We would also like to know if anyone knows how we can get ahold of him, Web site, Email.

Thank you, Jay

Sounds like those are a pair of Nico's personal boots. I don't recall Gaerne selling an Izzi branded boot. You can check out http://www.nicoizzi.com/index.htm and try to contact Nico through sponsorhouse. If that fails the only other thing I could think of would be to try to get in touch through Cole Gress and the amatuer program at American Suzuki.

Jay: Chili probably gave you the best lead possible. Good luck in your search.

Be sure and register as a member of the site. We have an active gorup of youth racers and parents that support them here. Chili is one of the more knowledgeable!

I'm not to good with these computers. I looked on sponserhouse and didn't really come up with much. We don't really know much about him. I did hear that he is as fast as or faster than Justin Barcia. We have seen Justin at his home track,Walden Playboys and it is hard to believe that someone is faster than him. Nico Must be smokin fast!!!! Do you guys think that we should keep these boots in new condition or just use them. my son will not fit into them for another year or two. I figured we will see how popular he gets and they might be worth alot when he turns pro. If you guys come up with anything let me know. Thanks alot....

Be an interesting keepsake if Nico makes it big. RIght now Nico is one of the top up and comers in the USA in the 85cc class. Nico recently won all 4 moto's in the 85cc class at the US Open SX in Vegas.

I know for a fact that gaerne specially made those for Nico. I believe Nico first started wearing them a couple summers ago.
I use to work for Nico's father.

Whats up Jay, i just seen that you said you had the nico izzi boots and asked if you should keep them clean. Honestly i think i would cause this year at nationals at red bud, he won his class hands down and then i raced against him in the 125 B class while he was on his 85!! He didn't win that class but still gave us a run for our money, he's seriously one of the fastest kids i've seen in a long time, and i know for a fact he'll be pro in a couple years.

I own a pair of Fox Forma Pro boots. I never got use to them and I don’t like them. Maybe they would fit better if I got a size larger. I wear size 10 shoes and I bought a size 10 boots. They just feel too tight and I even had the boots straps largest setting. I give the Fox boots a (C) grade. Now I just recently purchased a pair of Gaerne SG10. Wow! These are the best boots I've ever worn. Gaerne makes their boots a little oversized for each size, but they fit & feel perfect. If wear thicker sock, they still feel perfect. The boots straps are well thought out. Their designers took the extra time to make them function properly and easily. I would highly recommend these to everyone that rides or races dirt bikes. If I had these boots lost or stolen, I would not blink an eye and order another pair. The best, I give the Gaerne SG10’s an (A) grade.

You do realize that you have just used the exact same post to resurrect 3 old ones, only 1 of which isn't obscenely outdated? This is, however a fairly good review of the boots that you have owned, and I am so happy that you like the SG10's, everybody else seems to like them as well.
