Is this a good deal on a new 04 KDX200?

Found a new 04 KDX-200 for a out the door price of $3000+tax This seems like a great deal, has anyone done better than that? It is bad timing for me right now, but I'm thinking I can't pass this up. Please help.

It is a good deal. A year ago, the best deal I could get on a 2004 KDX 200 was about $3,600.00 plus tax.

Make sure you check into the "just tax" part. Sometimes by the time you (they) add freight, tax, and set-up, you're in for several hundred more $$ than the advertised price. Still sounds like a great deal!

I just bought a left over 2004 KDX 220 from the Kawasaki dealer in Raleigh, NC for $4000 out the door. The actual sell price was around $3200 but when they add all the fees it makes a big difference. Make them give you the out the door price.

If you need to finance they have a great 3.9% deal going on. Payments as low as $39 a month for the first two years. Then it goes to $6.9. You can pay as much as you want with no penalty.

Ok, this is the OTD price...ie, make the money order out for $3165.00

Thats a great deal, $3165 OTD (tax included in that price correct?) I'd snap it up if you can swing it.

Wow thats a killer deal id get it.

Well, the deal fell through. Price quoted was for a '02 which is on the inventory sheet, but not in the warehouse. The bike in the warehouse is really an '04. I do believe this was an honest mistake, but it changes the price to $3587 OTD.

thats still good. isn't msrp like $3900? see if you can get an "o' ring chain with it

Could get a new 03 220 for $3376 OTD......Just not sure my wife could handle a 220.

From what i've heard the 220s have less power then the 200s. something with smaller carb etc.

Posted by: hockeyboy---------------------

If your getting this bike for your wife, a 220 might be better. Its my understanding that the 220 has a little wider power band, and is not as pipey. Unless your wife loves to ride way up in the rev's, a 220 might be more forgiving. Otherwise the 2 bikes are the same except for the o-ring chain

Less hit would be better, I'll look closer at the 220.
Thanks everyone.

The 220 and 200 have just about the same power. I don't think she would even notice the difference.

I'v ridden both quite a bit based on my experience in the low end range the 220 wins hands down but from mid and up the 200 will pull harder.
