I am looking at getting knee braces. Does anyone have any experience with the EVS Webs, good or bad I would like to hear.

I've never used them. I have heard from Mitch Dervin (local Pro) that the EVS Webs are really bulky feeling. He said he wore them a few times and never got used to the feel. Sorry, that's all the info. I can give you. I RX knee braces myself.

I recommend the Asterisk. I've been wearing them since 2001, save my knees a few times and had very little problems.
I don't want anything on my knee that was designed to break, like the EVS. The EVS has "break away" zones. The theory is that the brace would break before the leg did. It is a good idea in theory but there are too many unknowns for the idea to hold water. To make a break away zone effective you have to know the bone tolerances and make the brace break right before the leg did... Since everyone has different bone densities it is impossible for EVS to make this theory applicable.

EVS thinks the Asterisk brace is too rigid.... think about what would my knee have looked like if the brace was designed to break....
