found xr 250!!

i found an old xr 250 like late 80's, has front disc brakes, hoping the guy will sell it for $500 or less. he ran the bike out of oil, and the pistin and rings took the pain. i will just have to have it punched out and put new piston and rings and should be set. the tranny is still mint.
my only question, is there any thing i should know about old xr's?

Yup, make sure they don't run out of oil

The crankshaft typically requires oil as well. I would check that .

plain brg in the head for the cam too, not to mention 8 rockers that like oil.
