I can't make it out. I doesn't look right to me. I am assuming north is north on the image, but it looks like to me, it is a right turn. theirs no road or moonrocks in this picture, yet, they found the road. Can anybody tell me where moonrocks is in the picture?

I'm not sure, but maybe you just hadn't gone north and west enough. Several clicks north the color of the straight road changes, which I am guessing indicates the end of the pavement. Maybe it's this view: http://www.terraserver.microsoft.co...eno%2c+NV+89510

I think this would be Moonrocks. Where the red pin is located (Range Land Rd. and Winnemucca Ranch Rd. intersection) is where you turn left into to enter the Moonrocks area. If you zoom around, you can see some of the trails and stuff. Note this photo is from 1994.

I'm guessin that since these photos are so old, that the road is missing? I was just hoping I might be able to find the rocks...............................

Input N39 50.838 W119 44.509 and you will get the parking area.

You can see the drag hill (looks flat though) and the moto track that is on the side of the hill (easier)

Rick - I have downloaded this map through USAPhotoMaps and have it from Winnemucca Road west to Red Rock Road and from the valley area south of Moomrocks to about 3~4 miles north of Moonrocks. We will not be lost this trip!

I think that's the same general area that Sharla had in her post. You can definetly tell that there was a lot less riding going out there ten years ago.
