ODI Grips on your KDX?

Anyone try the clamp-on grips from ODI on your KDX (or other dirtbike)? I've been using them on my jetski for a few years and will never go back to glue/wire.
Getting ready to put on new bars/handuards/grips and was looking for feedback on the ODI setup with a twist throttle...

One of my son's racing buddies tried the ODI setup this season on his RM125. The grips wore fairly quickly and durabilty was an issue. If you don't tend to hit the ground much they should hold up but how long the actual grip lasts may be another issue.
