Need spring sizes for a 220lbs rider

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just got a 2003 RM-250, the bike is in amazing condition. There aren't even any scuffs on the engine covers where your toes would rub. The owner said he only put 5 hours on the bike, and it looks like it has even less time on it.

I need to replace the stock springs, forks and shock, to better suit my weight. I am 220 pounds, with out gear on. I ride as aggressively and hard as I can for my age. I mainly ride MX.

Thanks, Steve.

Your recommended shock spring rate is....5.08kg/mm
Your recommended fork spring rate is....0.4584kg/mm

those were the listings from MX-Tech's spring rate generator when inputting your info. hope it helps.

Thanks MXSparks,

Went there yesterday, but couldn't get into the database. I have been trying to get to the site today, but the page won't load. Could you post the link to the page, I need to order springs for my son too.

Thanks again, Steve.

Racetech also has spring rates for rider inputes like weight and type of riding. Their shock springs run 109.99 and fork springs for 99.99 through Rocky Mountain MC. I just ordered mine yesturday for my 05 YZ250.
