Or this one:

1978 HONDA CR250R new wesico racing piston and new clutch and a few other parts in the motor as well. For $750. obo.

Hard for anyone on here to say for bikes that are 13 or 27 years old, would need a thorough mechanics inspection report, what's been replaced and how long ago, and maybe even some pictures.

Thanks, i will look into them.

Does that mean graphics?

What exactly is that? Is there a false yamaha race motor?

when i say replica, i mean everything on the bike is to spec with the 98 yot bikes.

'96 yz125's had a slightly longer stroke and a smaller bore where in 98 they had a larger bore and shorter stroke. my 96 cases and 98 cylinder together make a "legal stroker" and the whole motor has been blueprinted and matched. it has pc pipe and carbon fiber shorty silencer which no one i know makes available to the publie. it has been updated with 2001 forks and rear shock. If any of you follow supercross for the past few years you might know a rider by the name of josh summey. he rode for team samsung\radioshack yamaha last year but in 01 he rode procircuit kawasaki. he lives near me and a friend of mine got his 01 supercross bike. my 96 flat outran his sx bike. this true yot replica is the real deal.

Cool!!!! Just for fun, where can that spec be found?

they guy i got it from worked for troy racing in ohio, and had the bike when he relocated here in NC. He gave me a list of everything i needed to know. most of it is just general info on the bike so that you dont order the wrong parts for when you need to work on it, for instance since it does have the 98 cyl it has to use the 98 piston, ring, needle bearing and circlips. the suspension, front wheel asembly and front brakes are all '01 so they all need 01 parts, not 96. you can call yot and ask them specifically for what you are wanting to know, (i.e. carb settings, cylinder mods\porting, ect), but for general purpose stuff just ask and i'll let you know. ive actually never had to adjust the carb in any way for the year ive owned it. i noticed it did run a little more rich in the winter but not to the degree to make any changes. it runs strong all year long so i see no need to change it, so how the bike was setup is how it is now.

any pics of this bike?

1500 bucks seems like alot for a 12yr old bike. As for a 78 model, that is scary, unless you are very, very mechanically inclined!

Posted by: Ruff Rider---------------------

yeah 1500 sounds like a lot....keep your eyes open. check e-bay, local papers, online moto ads etc.. theres tons of bikes out there

anything past 1990, youre gonna start having problems getting parts unless you go through the dealer which is a road id rather not travel

Posted by: dirt_bike890---------------------

thats 1500 canadian which is a lot less in america

i bought my 97 for 2000 canadian

Posted by: Ruff Rider---------------------

so the 1500canadian is like 1200us and the 750 is like 600us? Thats not bad for the '97 but i still would be cautious of the 78

Posted by: ride_to_the_max---------------------

Thanks.I wanted something newer anyway.I will keep on looking.
