Ive bought an old dilapitated 81 kdx i've fixed it up to look pretty sharp. But the head light shell is all faded and crackly, and the whole headlight is overall ugly, to say the least. I looked in to buying a new headlight but i noticed that all of them are 12volt. My bike is 6volt 35w. I see these aftermarket headlights on alot of bikes what is the deal any ways how do they get them to work. Sorry, im clueless when it comes to electrical stuff.

I run a 12v headlight on my bike but the brightness goes up and down depending on rpm. I also removed the voltage regulator

Maybe try putting in a 6v globe to the aftermarket kit.

Are you sure that it is six volts? six volt systems have not been used in modern machinery since about 1940. This sounds wrong. What make you think it is six volt.
