Whats everyone's opinion on a 99 CR125. I'll probably be getting one here sometime soon and I just want to Find out as much as I can about them. Thanx

I had one, that's a good bike. Very durable, handles good, and makes pretty good power. The '99 (at least until '05) is the most desireable top-end config. The first-gen aluminum frame didn't seem as rock-stiff on the 125 as it did on the 250.

unless your very loyal to hondas i would reconsider.when i owned mine i put on a v force valve rejeted bored the carb wich did improve power,and thought my bike rocked.that was until i rode a friends 2000 yz 125, it was stock.sorry to say when riding the bikes back to back my cr felt like an 80.

I have an 02 CR125 and it's a fast bike, even stock. I've ridden an 02 YZ and it had all new pipes and stuff, and it wasn't like night and day. The CR didn't get to where it is by not doing anything! get the bike, you'll really enjoy it.

I just got an 01 in Dec. I am a novice and love the bike. I figure when I am missing some power I will worry about it.

Thanx for tha replies guys. I've already ridden tha bike, it feels very strong overall. I can deffinately feel the difference between the 99 and 96 that I have. Gillsm, yeah I've always been loyal to Honda, I love their dirtbikes.

Well I got the 99 CR125 today n went out riding. That bike handles great, and its so much easier to ride. I love it. I got the bike from my father, last weekend he replaced the top end, new clutch, new pro taper handlebars...n its in mint condition. Wish me luck with it u guys.
